Founder’s Story


Behind HARVIST is decades of experience in Malaysia’s palm oil industry.

Our founder, Steven Lee, together with his mentor, Wong Seong, have spent more than 40 years building and developing edible oil factories across Malaysia and overseas.

Over the years, they have contributed to the construction of more than 400 cooking oil factories, gaining deep knowledge and hands-on expertise in edible oil processing and innovation.

Why Red Palm Oil?

With his extensive experience in the oil industry, Steven discovered that red palm oil stands out as one of the most naturally balanced and nutrient-rich oils available.

Unlike ordinary refined oils, it retains its natural orange-red colour from the palm fruit, without artificial colouring or additives. Through a gentler processing method, more of its natural nutrients are preserved, including carotene and vitamin E tocotrienols.

With this deeper understanding, he recognised red palm oil not just as a cooking oil, but as a uniquely valuable natural oil that could support healthier everyday living.
