Founder Steven Lee graduated with a Bachelor of Food Science & Technology from Universiti Putra Malaysia and specialised in palm oil Vitamin E extraction technology.

With more than 16 years of experience in edible oil engineering, Steven has been involved in the design and commissioning of multiple edible oil facilities, including:

- Physical refineries
- Fractionation plants
- Vitamin E extraction plants
- Biodiesel plants
- Palm kernel extraction facilities

This experience led to the development of Harvist's modern red palm oil production technology under Profes Lipid Sdn. Bhd.
